Separation of an inactivated vaccine

The vaccine becomes a hot topic since the outbreak of Covid-19. Do you know that centrifugation is one of the popular ways to separate the inactivated vaccine? Although not used in separating the Covid-19 virus, centrifugation has however been used in a broad range of vaccines like influenza, hepatitis and rabies. Normally the production of these vaccines would involve several steps of centrifugation. Take an example of influenza, it would start from 6,000rpm and increase to 32,000rpm. There are 5 steps in between and different tube volumes are involved.

Rotor auto-lock and auto-rotor recognition of #Dynamica centrifuge allow you to change rotors conveniently. Find out more about our centrifuge: Velocity18R Pro
